What a Difference!

What a difference a year makes!! We got together with our great college friends this weekend due to it being Fantasy Football Draft weekend - which basically means that the guys get to have a total guys weekend while the moms have baby duty. Which was fine with us because we all got together to hang out. But, the difference being that last year when we would all go out together, it was just, meet here - all adults (1 child)- no big deal. This year it's a huge ordeal to get planned - have to go early so that babies can get to bed, can't go here because it's too crowded and we'll never get in, and so on. At dinner on Friday there were about 25 adults and about 10 babies. Saturday we had a baby shower for one of our friends and the dads actually babysat their kids, but as soon as the shower was over, it was hand-off time. Matt and the other guys left around 2:00 and didn't get home until 10 or 11:00. We girls went out for an early dinner and then it was back home to put the little ones to bed. We decided that we definitely needed a girls weekend - of course our weekend will not include beer and football...maybe a little wine and spa treatments!
Here we are after a CPK dinner at Willow Bend (this is not even everyone)
Me/Reid, Brooke/Wyatt, Ashley (who's daughter Avery is at Grandma and Grandpa's), Leslie/Luke, Sam, Brynn/Allyson, Melanie/Hannah, Amber/Colin

After such a busy Friday and Saturday, we didn't do much on Sunday. Went to Escape and had donuts and coffee, came back home and read the paper. Reid wanted to participate and is already interested in the news - that is how it tastes! (Plus, check out the section he chooses - interesting...)
