I know you're thinking that I'm counting down to Reid's birthday, but I'm actually referring to breastfeeding! I'm going down to 1 nursing a day for a week, and then it's closing time for this milk bar. In 1 week's time, my little boy will not be relying solely on me to provide him with the nutrients he needs. When I had him almost a year ago, I never imagined I would nurse him for the full year. But, it has flown by! It's a bittersweet letting go. I will miss the quiet time it provided for Reid and me, and the looks of absolute adoration he would look up and give me, but I have to admit, I'm looking forward to the freedom. The kitchen is (almost) closed!

You're hilarious! I was so ready to wean Addie too! How's Reid handling it?
That's so great, Meredith! You'll have to go on a vacation to celebrate your freedom :)
So cute! Congrats to both of you!!! Really, that is so cool that you made it the whole year. I am super jealous. But I will say, that freedom is pretty great :o)
I'm with you! I was glad to make it a year, a little sad on our last "moment", but really excited for the freedom. Noah never thought twice about it. Hope Reid is the same way! Good luck!
Pumping is not quite as "special" but I was thrilled the day I quit. Way to go for sticking with it an entire year.
Yeah, Reid's handling it fine. I don't even think that he's noticed! I'll probably be more sad than him! :)
You make me laugh...milk bar... :)
Yippeeeeeeeeee! I'm right behind you ... we'll probably start whole milk this weekend! We'll finally have our bodies back after TWENTY-ONE MONTHS of them belonging to our babies!!! WOW!
