Grrrr....

I love this sound word because it can so accurately describe how I feel in certain situations. Take for example 2 instances in the last 5 weeks where I feel this in all caps - GRRR!!!

1. I was pulled over for speeding - so ridiculous- on a road that is less than half a mile from my house, and I was going 10 miles over. The cop says 12, but I think he said that because 10 sounds like a "don't pull over" with speed. As soon as I saw him turn his car from his perch to get behind me and turn his flashers on, I knew he had full intentions of giving me a ticket. I was heading to a doctor appointment and was a little pressed for time. Of course as I drove off I thought of everything that I wished I had said! I didn't think the ticket could be too much, but now I'm on probation (I like saying that - makes me sound like a rebel) due to the deferred adjudication option, and $200 poorer. $200!!!!

2. After spending some time outside trying to get some good snow pictures with Reid, I decided that he had had enough of the snow and it was time to come in. I was carrying him in 1 arm and my fairly new (got it in December) Nikon D40 in the other. Not sure what happened, but the next thing I know, the camera is falling out of my arms. I tried to brace its fall with my leg, but it still hit the tile floor. After saying something that little Reid definitely should not have heard, I picked it up and examined it. Seemed to be in good shape. I tried taking a picture, but the lens would not zoom! It was stuck on 1 setting. I took it up to Wolf camera where they looked at it, noticed a dent and said that it was "kaput." Great. On top of that, we did not get the service warranty so I would just have to buy a new lens. So now I'm another $200 poorer. I really could have used that $400 on much more fun stuff!!!!

Grrr!!!
