Where to Begin???

**Update...We went to the pediatric dentist today who Matt had talked to over the weekend and he said that with what happened, Reid looked pretty good and he thought the tooth would be ok. We just have to make sure he doesn't eat/chew anything that could hinder the tooth from being able to heal (anything that is hard, etc. that could pull the tooth). I also just have to watch and make sure that the gum area doesn't get infected. We go back in a month and the doctor will check on it and take x-rays. The tooth is a little longer than the other one, but that's ok, that's better than a gray tooth! Also, Reid had his paci in his mouth when he fell and the doctor said that probably acted like a mouthguard and might have prevented him from chipping the tooth or from losing it completely! I'm glad we haven't tackled losing the paci yet!!! Thank you so much for all your prayers!!!***

I have so much to blog about! I have been going through another "unmotivated to blog" so I'm sorry to not keep you updated, or for not commenting/reading your blogs! But, I did have to share this story because I would love your prayers. (I'll work on updated what we've been up to this week)

I was packing the car to head to my parent's house for the night - I had Lilly in the car and everything- (isn't that when things go wrong?? when you're trying to get out of town!), and I had left the door open leading from the garage to our house. Reid had come out to the garage, I was on the other side of my car, and all of a sudden I hear a crash and Reid starts crying. I rush over to find that he is face down on the garage floor and our old footboard from our bed that we were storing in the garage is on top of him!!! Yes, I had to pull it off my child. When I picked him up, I notice that his mouth is bleeding, and it looked to me that his front tooth is at a funny angle. I called our pediatrician who told me to go up to a children's dentist because the goal is to save the tooth. Reid is screaming, I've gotten the bleeding under control at least, and we head up to the dentist only to find that it is CLOSED!!! We then go up to the pediatrician's office (I call Matt and he leaves his office right away to meet me at the doctor) and after looking at Reid, the doctor said that it would probably be ok over the weekend, but it would probably turn gray and die overtime. Luckily one of Matt's client's sons is a prominant pediatric oral surgeon in Southlake, and so Matt called him and he's going to see Reid tomorrow. We are so thankful that Reid's guardian angel was watching over him because it could have a lot worse than a loose tooth, but we are praying that the tooth will not die and that the roots aren't damaged. As of now, his little gums above the tooth (it's one of the front ones) is all bruised. Please say a little prayer for Reid's tooth! Much appreciated. I'll let you know what the doctor says if he's able to see us tomorrow!

I'm praying for sweet little Reid right now. Poor thing, and poor you. I know how hard it must be too see your baby get hurt and not be able to fix him. Scary stuff! I'm glad Matt's got connections and I pray that no permanant damage is done. May God calm your spirit. :) You are a great mom!
