Art in the Square

I headed out to Southlake one Saturday and my parents, Reid, me, Annie and Sutton headed over to town square for their Art in the Square. We spent the morning at the kids' fun area - they had bouncy houses and a mini bungee jumping thing. Reid was intrigued by the bungee activity and kept wanting to do it even though I just knew he would freak out because they would have to strap him in, etc. BUT, he could not get his mind off of it, so we thought we'd let him try. Surprisingly, he was calm and ok when they were strapping him in the harness, but as soon as it was time for him to jump he wanted out! My dad even got in to see if he held Reid if it would be ok - nope! Wouldn't you know that as soon as we got him out of the harness and a few feet away from the bungee, he threw a fit because he wanted to do it again?!?! What is up with toddler minds?? We distracted him by taking him to the bouncy houses and he and Sutton had fun jumping together. After the jumping, we went to lunch and then had some ice cream. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday!!!

Reid and Pop Pop practicing for the bungee jumping...

Getting prepared for bungee jumping...

Not even Pop Pop can help now! He's just upset!

All better now that he can jump in the bounce house with Sutton!

Enjoying an "ice-ceem cone" with Mimi and Pop Pop

I love this face! Sutton's doing "sweet face" - an expression taught by his aunts!

Sitting in the kid golf cart that Park Place was advertising - I think Reid and Sutton want one of their own!

oh definitely agreeing with everyone on the ice cream shot, way too cute and colorful! that's SOOO jagger right now to pull that stunt on the bungee jump - isn't it exhausting!! they want to be brave so badly, but really (thank goodness) they still are our BABY boys. ;)

What a fun day!! I love all the pictures, especially Reid eating his ice cream cone. I was cracking up reading about the bungee-jumping thing...seriously, I don't know what's up with toddler minds either, but that sounds like what we deal with everyday too :)
