Just another trip...
to a doctor that is! Yes, I've been told that I will need to add another doctor to the list. For those of you who know me, you know what a change my health has been since February '07 when I developed a blood clot from pregnancy (even then my little Reid started changing my life). Also, some of you may have heard me lamenting about how it seemed like I was gaining weight and couldn't lose it (even though I would say this in between cookie bites). But still, I thought - I'm burning so many calories breastfeeding, plus I'm working out! So, my OB-GYN called and said that my thyroid levels are 23.5 (which means nothing to me), but then she said they should be at 5.5 - what??? I asked what the side effects of this are and she said blah, blah, blah, gaining weight, blah...obviously I only fixated on one of them! She said they don't even deal with those levels at the office, so I will now need to go see an endocrinologist - which I had to google having no idea what that meant (a hormone doctor). Matt said, "well that explains a lot!" haha. So, I will update on what they say, but I'm so ready to start taking whatever medication I need so that I can get back to my fighting weight!

Oh my gosh, you look fabulous, Meredith! Sorry to hear about your need for a new doc, though ... I hope everything goes well! Keep us posted!
you look awesome, but i guess i didn't know you pre-reid. it kind of scares me though...you look great!
i have some names of two great endocrinologists if you are interested, tom sees an endo. :) n.
thanks girls for your sweet comments! I just made an appt. today with someone - Dr. Benar? Who does Tom see?
I know a great one if you want to go all the way down to Baylor. I saw her a few years ago...and she's on the news all the time.
And yes...you look fabulous. Maybe I have a thyroid problem too! Doubt it.
Darlin', I think you look fabulous as well! My good friend Mere Braaten also has this thyroid thing so you can talk to her about it and so does my sis-in-law. I feel like I know a lot of people with this and it's no biggie. Keep me posted...
wow...glad you got that checked out. we will be praying for you. keep us updated.
