Whirlwind of a Weekend

This weekend can be summed up with one word: CRAZY!!! On Friday we had a fun playgroup over at Emily and Cole's house with everyone in attendance where we talked about very interesting topics...lots of things to think about. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed the CFA chicken nuggets - definitely a good tradition Summer! We also celebrated the babies' half birthdays - we can't believe they are 6 months old! (We'll celebrate Cole's in November, and Rylan's in December). Nicole made a creative yummy half cake and Amanda brought some birthday hats. We can't wait till our next get together!

Friday night Reid threw up a couple of times, but luckily was not acting sick. (He actually had a cold in one of his eyes, which the doctor said was not contagious, but the stomach thing was unrelated). He was coughing and sneezing on Saturday, but nothing too bad. Being a first time mom, I did call the doctor Friday, Saturday and Monday - we're not used to this! We went to Matt's basketball game with our good friends Chad (who is also on his team) and Abbe, and then went to my favorite barbecue place, Sammy's, followed by a delicious cupcake from Sprinkles. There are only 3 locations in the U.S. - 2 in California and 1 in Dallas. Definitely worth a trip to Northwest Hwy. and Preston for one of their tasty treats! That night we had one of my best friend's mom's 50th birthday surprise party. We were a little nervous because it started at 7:30, which we all know is not a good time for Reid, but since he had a late nap, he actually did fantastic! We stayed until 9:30, and then he fell asleep in the car and went right to sleep when we got home. Then, the yuck stuff - I woke up early Sunday morning with a stomach ache and was throwing up all morning. Matt was going to have to take care of Reid on Sunday, but then he got sick! So, my mom had to come over to watch him seeing as how Matt and I spent Sunday in bed. Unfortunately, my mom got sick with this stomach stuff Sunday night, and my dad got it today! I hope everyone that I've spent time with this weekend does not get it! (though I hear that Carrie and her mom - the ones whose party we went to Saturday night- got it!)

I am so sorry you were sick all weekend. You look fabulous in the pictures though. Thank goodness Reid is OK. Hope we're not next.
