I'm officially counting Reid's first word. I was reluctant at first, not sure if I should count it, but after talking to my parents and friends who have heard him say it, I am going to make it official. I'm not counting "mama" or "dada" as his first word, because I'm not sure if he's saying those discriminately. I also must say that I am surprised at the word he picked up on - I really thought that his first words would be "No, Lilly!" seeing how I say that multiple times throughout the day to our feisty pup. :) Here are pictures of Reid with his favorite and first "word"...
Yes...that is a little bruise...we seem to be getting those a lot these days...so sad
The word that will go down in the book as Reid's first is ball! The reason I was hesitant at putting it down is he's saying "bah" but since he's associating "bah" with ball, then I think it counts, right? It's so funny because I'll say, "Reid, where's your ball?" and he'll go looking for it and when he spots it, he crawls over, grabs it, and says "bah." Sometimes I'll hear him say "bah" and I look up and he's holding a ball. His daddy sure his proud.

He is all boy! That was Clayton's first word. These March boys are so smart!
Awww! Yay Reid! What a big moment :o) I bet your daddy was proud of that! You already look like a sports superstar!
Ball was Emerson's first word too! I was reluctant to admit it too, but my mom kept insisting that she was really saying it and she was.
That's a great first word for a little boy!! I love it! I would trade "uh-oh" for "ball" anyday ... :) Oh well!
Wow...he is sooo smart! That is so awesome!
I totally agree that he is saying ball after hearing him on Monday! I love it!
that's awesome...and definitely sounds like it counts. he's just tackling all the firsts, isn't he!!!
Oh and the fun begins. before you know it you will actually FORGET what it was like for him NOT to talk....TRUST me. :-) TOO FUN, YEAH REID!
Matt only hopes that Q's first word will be 'ball.' I think it's going to be "Kia!" We'll see! Yay Reid for being such a big boy!
I know Matt is proud! He is so adorable!
Way to go Reid. We need him to come over and teach the boys that word. You need to record it and post it for us all to enjoy.
