Is what my sister would say when she was younger and wanted to do something all by herself. I haven't really pushed the feeding-yourself-with-a-spoon skill with Reid because frankly I wasn't interested in cleaning up the mess. (plus I figured, how many 5 year olds do you see whose mom still feeds him/her with a spoon? He'd learn at some point) But, it's funny how Leslie, Brooke, Mandy and I were talking about this because I noticed that just in the last couple of days Reid has wanted to feed himself with a spoon without any help. I was feeding him a little afternoon snack of cheerios and milk, and boy did he want to do it all "my-byself" (no, Reid didn't say that, but it seems to just fit the story!) and I can really see how these little toddlers are just pushing for more independence. I just had to get pictures of him trying so hard to get those cheerios in his mouth! I think most ended up either on the tray or his pants. :)
