Summer and the City

This past weekend my best high school friends got together for a big girls' weekend. We had a blast together!!! We named the weekend "Summer and the City" because we started off on Friday all going to see the movie "Sex and the City." I had never really watched the series (gasp!), but I LOVED the movie! I'm ready to either watch the shows on TBS or rent the DVDs. There were tons of girls at the theater and we got there an hour early so that we could get good seats (which we did). On Saturday we all met at Breadwinners for brunch, and then headed over t0 the W hotel. After checking in we made our way out to the pool with our magazines, etc. looking forward to laying out. Imagine our surprise when we get out there to find only about 5 lounge chairs - and because there were so few seats, everybody was in the pool! After feeling a little awkward, and it felt like everybody was watching us, we decided to just get in. It ended up being so fun by the pool and we enjoyed hanging out there all afternoon. Around 6 we came in to get ready for the evening. We had reservations at 8 to N9ne Steakhouse - where "Romesica" likes to go. It was delicious! I highly recommend. After dinner it was "going out" time. We began the night at Club Ultra, and then went to Ghost Bar which is on the top floor of the W Hotel. Both were fun, cool places. Carrie and I went back to the room around 1:15 - we're not used to going out! Sunday we all woke up and finished off our Summer in the City weekend at Original House of Pancakes. What a fabulous weekend! I am so thankful for my girlfriends and I'm already looking forward to the next get together!
