Around 4:30 in the morning Matt and I both were awake. For some reason we couldn't sleep! We laid in bed for about an hour trying to fall asleep, but finally around 5:30 we woke up and he played with his coffee maker that his parents had given him and I played with my camera. I know in the future we're going to wish for a few more hours sleep when the kids are waking at the crack of dawn ready to begin Christmas Day! Reid woke up at 6 to eat and then he went back to bed for another hour or 2. When he got up at 7:30, he ate his breakfast and then played with the toy that Santa brought for him. We went over to my parents' house after that and did Christmas with them. Reid got lots of new toys to play with - now, where they're going to go I have no idea!! For our big Christmas lunch we tried a new place this year, the
Melrose Hotel in Dallas. They had a buffet lunch - or rather- a buffet of breakfast, lunch and dinner foods. It was delicious!! We met my cousins, uncle and grandparents there. Afterward we went to see my sister's condo that she just bought and remodeled. (I should have taken pictures to show! ) What a fun first Christmas Day for Reid!
