Precious Moments

While I'm absolutely loving this age, it is proving to be a little testing of my patience. Today at Garden Ridge I was on the search for some perfect picture frames and I had found a few that I needed when Reid decided that he just didn't want to sit in the front of the cart anymore and wanted to be held. I was trying to keep him sitting (because of course I would have picked out the cart without any straps), and his crying was getting louder and louder so I gave in and just held him. Garden Ridge is not the most convenient place to go for me and I was on a mission to find frames and nothing would deter that! So, here I am, biceps burning because I'm holding him, pushing the cart, and searching for those perfect frames. I finally found what I needed (although I didn't get EVERYTHING I wanted, but got enough) and was in line waiting to be checked out when Reid looked at me with the sweetest smile, patted me on my shoulder and said, "Mama," and then he patted himself and said, "baby." It was such a precious moment and one of those that I don't ever want to forget. All my feelings of frustration dissolved and I was smiling and thanking God for this child of mine.

I am totally with you on the patience struggles. Bryson has been really pushing my buttons this week but then he will turn around and be totally cute or sweet and I just have to giggle. I feel your pain! :)

SO sweet!!! What a precious memory :o).

And I got this tip once, when Em wants to get out of the cart, I let her help me push the cart and she LOVES it...she just kind of walks behind it, holds on to the bottom/back of the basket and I walk behind her, steering. Of course I thoroughly disinfect her afterwards, but it helps us :o)

I hear you sister! They are so sweet, but such little stinkers sometimes. I think Wyatt and Reid must have had a little conversation about this on Monday! :o)

Reid is such a handsome little boy. He sure has grown up lately.
I haven't had much time to "blog surf" in the past few weeks, but I just had to comment and say hi. I guess no matter the age, there will always be difficult days and always be sweet reminders that time is flying by and to be thankful for every moment with our little ones.

How sweet! They definitely know how to get to your heart just at the right time. Maybe I can get your # from Carrie and we can figure sometime to get together.
